The first ever comprehensive report about Alice Springs exhibits the positive outlook in and around all the aspects held within Alice Springs.

The Alice Springs Business Survey results outlined in the profile indicates that:

• 79% of businesses were confident of business prospects over the next 12 months.
• 74% expect an increase in the value of sales.
• 61% expected profitability to increase.
• 80% of businesses source goods and services from Alice Springs.
• 97% of the customer base is in Alice Springs.

The Profile contains information from Census data, Tax data and other data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics which is based on research, analysis and survey information.

The Report on Alice Springs Economic Profile is a joint initiative of:

• Alice Springs Economic Development Committee (EDC),
• Department of the Regional Development, Primary Industry, Fisheries and Resources (DRDPIFR).
